This site was created to introduce the studio supermassive brand and showcase the studios unique approach to creative interactive web design and development.
Why it's Special
For one, we introduce the site with a cinematic trailer, this presents the user with a welcome message, a sound track to build excitement, and most of all highlights the brands commitment to compelling story-driven design.
Next, we added a level motion by creating a code that allows us to control a static image file using the wav in an audio file. this allows the image to morph and shape based on the pitch of the sound. for instance the galaxy below would react differently to a fast metal song than to a slow jazz beat.
Lastly, we topped the site off with the studios signature move - user controlled interactivity. The user can control the motion by pausing and playing the audio. the image stops on a dime and snaps back into its original static state when paused, and when played jumps back into the audio in full motion.
